About the beach
Torakina Beach is a small man made beach nestled between the two break walls near the mouth of the Brunswick River. This results in a calm, clear-watered beach that is perfect for use with beach wheelchairs. It is surrounded by gardens with picnic tables, an accessible toilet block and an outdoor shower that is locate directly adjacent to a lockbox containing two beach wheelchairs and a beach walker. There is an accessible pathway that leads from the car park, down past the lock box and towards the beach, where beach matting takes you onto the sand. The beach wheelchairs can be booked prior to the visit at https://www.spacetoco.com/host/rotary-club-of-mullumbimby or you can scan the QR code on the outside of the lock box.
